A 135-acre natural sanctuary, Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve is a place to explore the ecology of western Pennsylvania. Five miles of nature trails wind throughout the reserve, containing habitats including woodlands, streams, fields and ponds. Managed by the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania, the site also hosts educational programs throughout the year for both children and adults. It is located on the northeastern edge of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, about two miles away from Hartwood Park.
